The time is 1500 B.C. when the Catholic Romans set out to conqueror the Holy Land, Jerusalem. Jerusalem has been said to be holiest place in the entire world. Alas-am, the best warrior in Rome and a high commander of one of the crusades who has been fighting and away from his family for 10 years was released to go see his family back in a rural town outside of Rome. So Alas-am set his destination for home and left the crusade on Jerusalem. His journey home lasted 4 days, and by the time he got back to Rome he was exhausted, but Alas-am still had hours left to finally be home. Hours went by and as Alas-am reached the crest of the where his town sat he saw black smoke rising from where the town was, so he raced down to his town to see nothing but ruins, and death. Alas-am thought to himself, who could have done this? Crying, Alas-am gets off his horse looking at all his friends who have been slaughtered, looking back up he sees his house destroyed, nothing but rubble. He runs to the place where it once stood to see his family brutally murdered.
“Alas? Is that really you?” Turning his head he saw his best friend Haru, sitting up against this last standing wall of the church, running to Haru and grasping him in relief saying, “Yes Haru it’s me Alas, what happened here?” “They were Muslims, barely breathing, Haru says to Alas, “they took your wife, and one of the soldiers said that you have taken his wife’s life, and he would have revenge on you”. Haru now dead in Alas-ams arms and his tears running down his face, he gets up to bury everyone in the town. After couple of hours of preying for his friends and family, he gets up and looks around. Filled with anger and sorrow, he calls his horse over to him, riding off in the direction of the Muslim armies footsteps. Days have passed, when Alas-am catches up with the army to see them resting. “What are they doing? Why would they rest on Roman land?” said Alas-am. Alas-am, waiting for the right time to strike suddenly heard a horn blow; it was a horn of Rome. Alas-am noticed that the horn belonged to the Kings Calvary. “What are they doing here?! When did they come back from Holy Land?!” saying to himself. Sitting and waiting, he sees Richard, King of Rome meeting with the commander of the Muslim army. So Alas-am started down the hill avoiding guards and troops loitering around the kings’ tent.
“Did you destroy the town?” said Richard.
“Yes, we leveled everything to the ground, but we did not find your commander Alas-am”
“What do you mean?! I gave you specific orders to wait until he got there! I moved all my men from the east gate so you and your army could pass without trouble!”
“We were waiting until a farmer saw one of my men and we were forced to attack” said the commander.
Richard mumbles to himself…
“What did you say you’re Majesty?”
“Nothing, you and your men did a good job; I will deal with my commander”
“Thank you sir” said the commander,
“Now I must get back to my Empire, I have worked to do, until our next visit stay safe.”
“I will sir.” Said the commander.
“Fall out!” Richard yelled as his Calvary left the resting ground.

It was fun to read and I really like all the talking back and forth and i would end this story with the Romans winning the battle.
Bravo! I can see that you put some thought into this one. A few suggestion, though. You missed a few quotation marks, first off. You should go back and fill those in. Second, you didn't put too much detail into what was going on. You simply skipped from one event to the next, without to much detail on what he saw or heard. How this story ends is entirely up to you, and I don't really want to get in the way of creativity, but I think that it should end with Alas sacrificing himself to save his loved ones. That's all I have to say. What you do with my suggestions is up to you.
